Start your festivities at the Fillmore City Park on July 3rd (or the evening before celebrating the 4th) with a kid bike parade that ends at the upper park where a free hot dog dinner is served. Come play games and enjoy each other's company until dusk. Once dusk hits, grab your blankets and camping chairs to come enjoy a free movie in the park.
Wake up early on the 4th, get dressed in the silliest patriotic outfit you can find and join the Freedom Fun Run. Run down historic Main Street and end where the fastest runners get a medal and everyone gets a popsicle. After you work up an appetite, cross the street and support the local Legion Hall with their famous pancake breakfast.
Grab your seats, and at 10 a,m the parade starts on Main Street and finishes down Center Street. You’ll leave with lots of candy and a belly full of fun and laughter. Meander up to the Territorial Statehouse Park, where food and a variety of vendors are set up.
Finish off the day, head down to the baseball fields with chairs and blankets to watch the incredible fireworks put on by the Fillmore City Fire Department.
